FAQ
Who are the Canton Chargers?
We're Amy and Gray. We run, and we're keen to help others run with us. Sometimes we run marathons. Sometimes just a few miles but like most runners, we're always looking for new challenges. You can usually find us training in the parks of Cardiff often with our dog, Charlie running beside us. Are you qualified? Yes. All Canton Chargers sessions are led by UK Athletics 'Leaders in Running Fitness' qualified runners and are trained to help runners of all abilities. We're also fully insured. Is it really free to run with you? Yes. Running doesn't require a gym membership or expensive shoes. Everyone should be able to run. If you have specific concerns around kit or footwear, feel free to get in touch using the form on the Contact Us page or come along to one of sessions and meet us in person. What if I'm too slow/fast? We cater for all abilities. We don't just get together and start running but we warm up, get started and cool down together and there'll always be one of us near the front and at the back to make sure everyone stays together and no-one gets left behind. I can't run very far. What if I need to walk? That's ok. You'll find yourself getting better and better the more you go running. Why not take a look at Canton Starters courses here. Are you sponsored by anyone? No. We have no agenda other than helping you run. Any advice we offer is free from corporate bias or loyalty. What I need to bring with me? Just trainers that fit well, weather appropriate clothing and perhaps a water bottle. |
